Household Carpet – Textile Industry Solutions

ITW Dynatec Hot Melt Equipment technology is used for:

  • Tuft bind-coating to provide tuft bind to the primary
  • UFD technology used to laminate secondaries to the primary
  • Hot melt compositions are being used to replace urethanes and latex
  • Used to coat PSA an the backs of carpet tiles

These technologies have provided this industry with a more “green” product with both biodegradability and recyclability.  UFD technology has also allowed lower coat weights to be used while maintaining strength and hand.
